Making our Lists

So, the girls found the Toys R Us catalog and were sitting at the table circling their choices.  Oh what fun it is to make a list.  They even noticed that there were TWO catalogs so they said, how about we circle them in both and Mom can send one to Santa for us.  Boy, they are getting smart.

Mom's Group Halloween Party

Another Halloween Party for the girls.  This time, it's with our long time friends through Mom's Group.

Our group is 16 kids strong with the addition of Jacob, who is about one month old, to the Buchino family and also Evan.  Evan is in Kindergarten (so basically the same age as the "big" kids) and is neighbors to Will, Isa and Gabi.  Welcome to the group Evan & Jacob.  However, this year, Sam and Alex are in Germany and weren't able to come to the party.  We were suppose to Skype with them however they were sleeping by the time we got connected.  We did get to catch up with Julie though.

Again, fun was had by all.  Great friends, fine foods & wine, and lots of playing makes for a great time.  Plus the weather was nice, so we even got some outside time.

Pumpkin Carving at Uncle Dan's

Uncle Dan held his annual pumpkin carving party.  The weather was a little chilly and raining however we still had just as much fun as we always do each year.  There were lots of little kids (and parents too) carving pumpkins and running around, having fun.   We have fun  no matter what we are doing, when we are with our cousins and Grandma.

And as always, the party ends with the SMASHING of the PUMPKINS.  The girls just absolutely loves this part (in fact, they remember to bring their boots so they can stomp in the pumpkin guts).

Pinata fun!  Even cousin Ben got into the fun.

And this year, the girls tried to smash pumpkins (with Uncle Dan couching them).

Cousins being sill together.

Nature Walk- Pumpkins

The Lorain County Parks Systems does a program every month on the 3rd Friday for preschoolers. This month was all about pumpkins.  Each kid got a pumpkin that they could decorate.  Then they tasted apple cider.  It's at the Avon Lake Public Library and Natalie just loves going.

Huntington in October

What a gorgeous day!  And even a more perfect way to spend such a great day was to head to Huntington Beach to say goodbye to warm weather with Grandma.  The girls had a great time just wiggling their toes in the sand, digging, looking for beach glass, chasing the sea gulls and spending time in the sun with Grandma.  It was a last minute decision  (Thanks Grandma for suggesting it).

Pumpkin Patch

Our annual picking of our pumpkins.  We headed to our favorite place, Pickering Hill, to take a hayride back to their pumpkin patch and pick out our pumpkins.   The girls just absolutely love looking for pumpkins and Halloween in general.  It was a quick trip because a storm was headed our way.

Indian Princess Campout at Camp Y-Noah

This weekend was the first camp out for Indian Princess at Camp Y-Noah.  I don't have much to share as this is a weekend with Dad.  This was Natalie's first official camp out as Princess Rainbow.  Gina was appointed Princess Butterfly last year at her first camp out.

I know they did rock wall climbing, horse back riding, hiking, shot bow & arrows, shot guns and much more.  They stayed up late too but I think overall they were good for Dad.

And from what Dad mentioned, Natalie was the mascot of the tribe.  Everyone wanted to play with her (and Gina too!).

First of many Halloween Parties

This was the first of, I'm sure, many Halloween celebrations.  Eastview PTA sponsored a Halloween Costume Dance at Gina's school.  I wasn't sure what to expect or how the kids would be however it was a great time.  The girls got dressed in their Halloween costumes that Grandma made for them.  Natalie was an Angel and Gina (or should I say Dorothy because she would not let me call her Gina when when she was in costume) was Dorothy with Toto.

We arrived at the school and Gina was a little shy.  Mr. Matthews the principal was dressed like Prince Charming (and his daughter was a bride).  Too cute.  Natalie wanted to dance right way however it took Gina a little bit to warm up but as soon as she saw one of her school mates, she was out of her shyness.  They danced and danced!  They hula hooped and danced more.  Gina was on one end of the gym and Natalie was on the other side dancing with Alyssa, the neighbor.

Both girls had the time of their life and didn't want to leave the party.  However, they were tired and needed to get to bed because the next day they were leaving for a camp out with Dad and would be up extremely late.
