Friends & Elin's first birthday

After some good playing at Mapleside Farms, we headed home, quickly changed, and then were out the door to celebrate Elin's first birthday.  There was a deejay, balloon twister, cake, good food, great friends, and more fun than a little girl could ask for.  We even got to take Isa because her mommy was in Florida.

Happy 1st Birthday Elin!  Thanks for having such a great birthday party for us.

Mapleside Apple Farm Fall Fun

It was a gorgeous day for some fall fun.  We headed out to Mapleside Apple Farm in Brunswick and met up with our cousins, Evie & Charlie.  Oh the things we got to do and it was so much fun.  They had a slide that was 311 feet long (we got to ride down on that on mom or dad's lap because it was FAST) and there was a corn maze that when we went through it, we got to read the story about Spookley the Square Pumpkin.  We even got to ride on Hayrides and the Moo-Lar Express.  Pumpkins and Apples galour.  And then we had time for a yummy lunch at the restaurant before having more fun bouncing on the large pillow; playing on the swing sets and building in the corn box.

Here are some pictures but the pictures won't do justice for the fun we had (however there are a lot of pictures).

Metropark Hike

Every third Friday of the Month, the Lorain County Metroparks does a program with a craft and hike.  This month's program was about Seeds.  Luckily our friend/neighbor, Ellie, was able to join us for this month's program (because Natalie really misses Gina because she is at school all day and doesn't get to do these fun programs anymore).

Natalie even got to hold a salimander.

And after our hike outside to find seeds, we walked back into the library and guess who we found.  GRANDMA!  We love having her live so close to us so we get to run into her at different places.  We love you, Grandma.

Natalie's 1st day of Pre-K

Today, Natalie started her Pre-K year at Little Learners. She was so excited that after we got Gina on the bus at 8:15 this morning, she wanted to go to school too.  However, she does a 4 day a week (Mon-Thurs) in the afternoon from 12:30-3 p.m.   This was a special first day for her as she got to take mommy with her for a fun afternoon of doing a scavenger hunt, meeting and visiting with the teachers and kids, and listening to a story.  It was a very hot day but it was fun to see all the faces of the kids from last year and to meet the new kids.  Tomorrow is going to be a great 1st day by herself!

Her teacher is Miss Kelly and she is in the fish room (which is the room that Gina was in for her first 2 years at Little Learners).
